Sandy Newman acts as general manager and keeps the business running. As the wife of Chef John, Sandy has been involved in the restaurant business for many years. She holds a journalism degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Please email Sandy with questions or comments about the restaurant at

Pastry Chef Nancy Williams is also a graduate of Western Culinary Institute, Portland. She is a fourth generation Clatsop County resident who trained with Chef John at the Stephanie Inn. Nancy is overseeing desserts at both restaurants.

Sous Chef Abe Bund was hired in May 2014. Abe is a graduate of Western Culinary Institute and native Oregonian. He lives in Seaside with his wife Kacie, a school teacher, and dog their Archie. In his spare time Abe enjoys hunting, fishing, kayaking and all the outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest offers.
